May/June Inspiration:

Aaron has not only inspired me, but has lit a fire in my spirit and he doesn't even know it... yet anyway. Listening to him talk about his past soccer experiences, his desire to run the entire way through Forest Park by the end of this summer, and his love of backpacking makes it impossible to not become infectious with outdoor fun! I not only want to help him succeed in his ventures, but it makes me want to do better in my own. He's been training to do the Mud Run (a 10k of muddy obstacles) in San Diego this June with his sister. His focus and dedication on preparing for it has not gone unnoticed. I'm proud of him, and thankful to have him in my life. Good luck in the Mud Run Aaron!

March/April Inspiration:
Karina is my newest inspiration. I've been following her progress on training then completing her first marathon through Facebook. I've known Karina since middle school, she's always been the athletic type but never imagined herself doing a 5k, let alone a marathon. She decided to challenge herself by joining a running team at her workplace. They used the Jeff Galloway theory and she claims it works. I'd say her actions prove it so. I'm so absolutely proud of Karina for her accomplishments, and look forward to watching her do more! Karina, I must say it again- Congratulations!

January/February Inspiration:
Micky is a patient at the office I work at. She and I have had many conversations in the past 6 months about everything underneath the sun. She's an avid runner, and is currently training for her first 50k race. There is no way I will ever want to participate in a race that intense, but hearing about her training and the tricks she has to prepare herself mentally and physically have been helpful in my process. Whenever I feel the slightest lack of hope, she always has the words that remind me of why I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm forever thankful for her entering my life and being a healthy dose to my process.
